The Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method Scheme (BREEAM)

Spalding Associates can provide fully registered ecological consultancy for your project if you require Building Research Establishment accreditation (BREEAM).

This scheme provides a means of measurement for the impact of building schemes on the environment; independent and verifiable assessments of the design can provide credits toward achieving the BREEAM rating. The value to the developer is a quantified and nationally recognised demonstration of good environmental performance in building design and construction.

Good ecological design will gain credits as part of the rating. We advise that ecology is considered early in the project for efficient design and to maximise the potential for credits. Early assessment of the site, in particular, can save time and money and maximise the credit opportunities.
